About Katko

Sustainable Craftsmanship.

At Katko Saigon, we believe that true beauty is never rushed, it is grown, gathered, and shaped with care. Our journey begins in the quiet countryside, where mulberry trees sway in the wind and silkworms spin their cocoons under watchful hands. From those first threads of raw silk to the final fold of a hand-finished scarf, every Katko creation is born entirely in Vietnam gently, intentionally, and with reverence for the land and its people.

We are more than a brand; we are part of a living ecosystem of craft.

Katko is proud to partner with a traditional atelier that sustains the livelihoods of 220 artisans ,most of them women and elderly villagers whose hands still remember the old ways. Through this collaboration, we help preserve not just jobs, but also self-worth, purpose, and the quiet dignity of working with one’s own hands.

Every piece we create carries the spirit of shared well-being. Our commitment to sustainability is not a label, but a way of life, from our use of natural, non-toxic materials to our zero-discharge production practices that leave no harm behind. We choose to grow slowly, guided by values that honor both people and planet.

Katko’s philosophy aligns deeply with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations. We are especially committed to:

  • No Poverty & Decent Work (Goals 1 & 8): By supporting craft-based livelihoods in rural areas, we help ensure stable income and lasting value for vulnerable communities.

  • Good Health & Well-being (Goal 3): For many elderly artisans, craftwork is more than income, it is connection, confidence, and a sense of being seen.

  • Gender Equality (Goal 5): We are rooted in women’s work, and we take pride in uplifting it, with fairness, respect, and long-term partnership.

  • Responsible Consumption & Production (Goal 12): Every element of our supply chain is local, low-waste, and grounded in time-honored techniques.

  • Climate Action & Life on Land (Goals 13 & 15): Our approach avoids industrial runoff, protects biodiversity, and draws strength from regenerative farming.

At Katko, fashion is not about trend - it is about legacy.
It is about the quiet joy of something made with care, worn with love, and passed on with pride.

Reducing Carbon Footprint

One bag – endless possibilities.
Instead of owning many, simply start with one timeless shell and switch out the inner linings. Each change creates an entirely new look.
This thoughtful solution reduces overconsumption, saves costs, and minimizes waste and emissions.
Katko is redefining what a bag can be: not only beautiful, but also versatile and sustainable

With a strong in-house team, we deliver outstanding results, balancing innovation with tradition, all while maintaining sustainability and cost-effectiveness.

Katko takes pride in being one of the few companies in Vietnam that fully controls the entire process from concept design to finished product.

Our creative team is rooted in brand identity and visual storytelling. With a deep understanding of cultural history and global aesthetics, we work closely with clients to transform their brand essence into meaningful, beautifully crafted products.

Whether it's a gift for a strategic partner or a bespoke item for internal branding, we offer thoughtful, complimentary design support, from concept development to visual language. Ensuring each product speaks in the voice of your brand, with elegance and purpose.

This is not just design. It’s cultural translation through form, texture, and symbolism.

Each Katko piece tells a story, of centuries-old lacquer craft, ancient maritime motifs, and timeworn colors rediscovered and refined for modern life.

We are honored to have been chosen by Vietnam’s Department of Foreign Affairs to craft national gifts for distinguished guests including U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama, the First Ladies of Poland and Germany, and other world leaders.

Katko is also a trusted creative partner to global brands such as Clé de Peau Beauté, Cole Haan New York, World Bank, Coca-Cola Global, and JP Morgan.
