First Lady MICHELLE OBAMA

On the occasion of former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama's visit to Vietnam, Katko Saigon was honored to be commissioned by the Department of Foreign Affairs to design and produce a silk scarf set as a gift for Mrs. Michelle Obama.
The CHERRY BLOSSOM gift set was inspired by the iconic cherry blossom groves of Washington, DC a city the First Lady calls home. For this special creation, Katko Saigon delicately printed her name, “Michelle Obama,” onto the silk itself as a mark of sincerity and respect.
We still remember one small yet striking detail that spoke volumes about American professionalism: through the Department of Foreign Affairs, we were kindly asked to wait until the President and First Lady had departed Saigon before sharing this story. And so, even in our excitement, we held our breath a little longer.
CEO Worlbank - Mrs. Kristalina Georgieva

Katko Saigon was granted a rare honour: Mrs. Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the World Bank, personally selected our creations as diplomatic gifts for distinguished leaders and esteemed guests at two high-level events, one on the island of Bali and the other in the heart of Washington, D.C.
With a budget of $176 billion and a global team of over 33,000, the World Bank stands as a formidable force for progress, one that plays a pivotal role in shaping the prosperity of developing nations around the world.
First Lady of Poland - Agata Kornhauser
Katko Saigon was honoured to be selected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the official design house for diplomatic gifts presented to the Polish delegation during their visit to Vietnam. The most prestigious, and deeply meaningful task entrusted to us was to create a bespoke gift for the First Lady of Poland, Madame Agata Kornhauser, on the occasion of her state visit to Saigon.
The elegant gift was thoughtfully designed to embody Vietnam’s hospitality and the spirit of goodwill extended to our Polish friends. It was a delight for our team to learn, through the Ministry, that the Polish delegation expressed great appreciation for the gesture.
The delicate blue lotus motif created for this special piece has since been preserved in our collection. As it happens, “Celadon Lotus” - Blue Glazed Lotus - has become one of Katko’s timeless designs, beloved by many of our clients to this day.

At the start of the year, the world of international diplomacy witnessed a series of pivotal events, among them, the state visit of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and First Lady Elke Büdenbender to Vietnam. This occasion marked a significant milestone in bilateral relations, with notable advancements in both economic and political collaboration.
Their welcome was conducted with the highest level of diplomatic protocol, including a 21-gun salute, an expression of Vietnam’s deep respect and warm hospitality for the Federal Republic of Germany.
Katko Saigon was deeply honoured that our Nội Phủ Thị Nam gift set was selected as the official present for the First Lady of Germany. More than a gesture of courtesy, this choice reflected Vietnam’s reverence for cultural heritage and its commitment to the art of meaningful, thoughtful gifting.
The President and First Lady departed Vietnam with lasting impressions of the sincerity and evolving partnership between our two nations.
